After asking audience feedback I have decided to go with the masthead with the silver writing. The feedback I have gotten is that the red masthead overpowered my page and gave it more of a horror theme. Also by also making my masthead red, they felt as though my front cover was too overwhelming.
Great photography, and the masthead reflects the genre well. However the font for the coverlines is a bit plain.
